*Disclaimer* This is just my opinion. If you don't like it then fair enough, if you agree with me then cool.
Public display of affection, widely known as PDA, has been annoying me like a fly buzzing around my head for the whole day.
Today, I sat in the law library computer labs because there were no tables free at the usual spot, or anywhere else in fact (people were sitting on the floor, next to the power points). I thought to myself, at least the computer lab has a table?
WRONG! It was much much worse than I thought. I think sitting on the floor would have been a much better option because I was frequently disrupted by the sound of the door slamming when people walked in an out. In particular, there was a really gross cutesy first year couple sitting to my right.
What do I mean by gross and cutesy? For starters, when the boyfriend walked in, he gave his girlfriend a massive twirl and almost hit my chair. They then proceeded to poke each other and rub each other's backs, hold hands, baby talk, hug, kiss, feed each other, lick each other's fingers, spoon?! AND the list goes on. Anything but study. Alongside that, they kept walking in and out of the computer lab and the door kept slamming ARGH!!
Why do people do these things in public when it just makes everyone else feel awkward and uncomfortable? I mean I know, I'm in no position to judge or say anything, but I really am curious. Are people just so 'in the moment' that they disregard the fact that there are people who have peripheral vision and ears?
I don't know if it's just me, but I really don't want to see people swap saliva, especially at such a close range. Nor do I want to see people lick each other's fingers or hear fake baby talk.
"AWWWW I wub you! you're schoo cuteeeeeeeee. Comme hereee come onn, ngawwwwww "
Yuck! YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!

I hate it too, but to be honest, I want to be that guy with the girlfriend, damn it!
Also if its UNSW law library you're talking about, I have no clue why its so full all the time either. According to Tharunka, all the commerce students are stealing spots. I think a better bet is the tutorial rooms. Its 100% quiet and you can be sure no classes will start for at least one hour.
