Regrets and mistakes are memories made

1. Do you have a best friend who knows you inside out?

Yes, yes I do. I think I have 3 who know how I function, how I work, how to cheer me up, what I hate and what I love. Wouldn't trade the anything in the world for them!

Regrets
I'm pretty sure I have no regrets - unless you count that time I regret walking outside without an umbrella, or going to uni without my keys or falling off a bunk bed etc. Other than these small trivial things, I'ld like to think that most decisions I've made turned out fine. To this day I stick by that theory because quite frankly if something is meant to happen, it will happen no matter what.

Is there any point in dwelling on the past? I don't think there is. The world isn't going to wait for you to slobber away in your corner until you feel good about yourself again, it's just going to continue rotating. When that happens, if you stay in that corner, what will become of you? Eventually you'll have to come to the realisation that things are what they are, not what they seem and definitely not what you want them to be. When that sudden fall to reality hits you, your ability to pick yourself up and get on with it needs to be efficient, otherwise you are letting that event live rent free in your mind.

Yourself above others?
A friend recently told me that I have to put myself and my own interests first before I can take care of others. I don't think that's something I can do unless I am brainwashed and 19 years of my mum's 'life lessons' are deleted.
