Time to Dream
The theme for this year's fireworks is - Time to Dream.
I think it's a brilliant theme! so much to look forward to.
Counting down the days!
Two more days until the New Year!! I'm super super excited.
Now I know that many people don't really care about the significance of New Years, but for me it's a pretty big day! It's number 3 on my list of favourite days!
Now I know that many people don't really care about the significance of New Years, but for me it's a pretty big day! It's number 3 on my list of favourite days!
- My birthday
- Christmas
- New Years!
Why is it so significant?
It gives me to time reflect on the good and bad events of the year and look forward to the future! You can't hope for something you can see, because then why would you hope to have it when you already have it? I like New Years because it gives me a mental push in the right direction - starting over and maturing. I like it because I can spend quality time with the people I love, whether it be with friends or family, it's still a joyous celebration!

Every year I get closer to what I want to become and what I want to be! There are so many things happening in my life, so many people playing different roles and so many more exciting moments to look forward to - just thinking about it is exhilarating!
Thank you to everyone who has played a part in my growth and maturity this year ( you know who you are ). This year I've :
- learnt the true meaning of friendship
- made a lot of new friends and lost contact with some (will make it my resolution to revive those old friendships!)
- gotten a more useful job
- driven a car
- done a lot of DIY stuff
- gotten an iPhone (BEST DECISION OF THE YEAR)
- been amazed
- fractured and dislocated my finger (worst injury to date)
- not gotten sunburnt when chilling on the beach! (definitely a first)
- grown my hair out.. kinda
- watched an insane amount of TV
- improved my uni marks
- been interstate with friends
- built many bridges and gotten over them
and the list goes on..
Thank you to all you wonderful people. I wish you all a SPECTACULAR NEW YEAR!

Happy holidays everyone!
And now moving on to why Christmas is so special for me!
- It's the day which celebrates the birth of the most important person in my life - Jesus!
- whenever I'm sad, or down, or think I can't continue on anymore, He's always there to pull me through.
- It's a time where I can spend quality time with my family, doing what we do best - eating
- It's also a time for presents and joy! and happiness! (Nobody should be alone on Christmas and if you are my mum would gladly invite you over for linner *lunch/dinner*)
- It's my second favourite day - favourite being my birthday (I love myself too much).
- It's the time of the year where everybody is buzzing with excitement! the shopping centres open longer and there are heaps of people!!
- Small things such as saying Merry Christmas! bring smiles to people's faces!
I hope you guys all had a very Merry Christmas! I sure had a nice feast and now it's a bit mellow but it's okay because it suits my food coma.

Christmas Spirit!
Words can convey quite a bit but pictures can depict 1000 words! This is a collage sort of reflects what has been going on in my mind. I'm pretty excited about Christmas! and the foooood! Don't really care about presents anymore but hopefully I'll be getting a nice fat balance in my netbank from Typo sooooon.
Laughter really is the best medicine. Second to that is smiling!

Outpost at Cockatoo Island
Moving away from the dark aura that I have been emitting for the past few days..
I went to Outpost at Cockatoo Island on a family outing! It was better than I expected it to be! Although there were times where I was staring at pieces of artwork and graffiti and I was completely lost. It's too indie for me to understand!! Or too angsty for me to comprehend.
Anyways! we stopped by the kids corner where there were a bunch of cardboard boxes that we could paint on.
There are more pictures but they're on my sister's camera! Some of the artworks were really spectacular, I'm so jealous of their talent!
-------
I'm really grateful for all the people in my life who have to deal with my complaining, sulking, occasional whining, swearing, raging and craziness. As Christmas season comes around, I really do need to think of the best way to thank them for putting up with me for a whole year. A friend of mine is a Christian but doesn't celebrate Christmas because it doesn't say we should celebrate Christ's birth in the Bible. Whether or not you are a Christian or not, I still think that Christmas should be celebrated because its time for people to relax, be merry and spend time with loved ones! For Christian's it's a reason to celebrate because of the birth of our savior. Ultimately, Christmas is a day filled with love, smiles and food! At least that's what it is for me!

Holding things in
Sorry that this blog is turning into a tumblr. I feel like I'm at a writer's block again (or a writer's block as usual). I don't really have much happening in my life and I think perhaps this blog is coming to an end very soon. It started with a bang and perhaps after 4 years of divulging my thoughts in cryptic puzzles (not really) and random interesting stuff!
Super fail of the week so far :
Yesterday Luke, Annie and I set out to go play/watch our netball team play at 6:30 at Moore Park. We got there at 7:04pm and heard the whistle blow signalling that it was the end. Fail!!
Super fail of the day :
I put frozen bread in the toaster without turning the toaster on and started complaining to my mum about how we need a new toaster coz the current one is broken. Then we turned the switch on and it still didn't work because we realised it wasn't plugged in. Enough said.

The Beginning of the End.
Today I watched the movie New Years Eve with Kath and Ian. It was a pretty average movie, similar to Valentines Day but much more convoluted and jagged.
What stuck the most was the speech that Hilary Swank gave halfway through the movie. The coming new year allows us to stop and reflect upon the events of the current year and create resolutions for the new year so we can try harder to achieve whatever we desire. The new year represents new beginnings, a fresh start and a time to wipe the slate clean and start again.
